We collect nothing.

Fandeck has no account, no server, no analytics and no advertising. Your cards are read and kept on your iPhone, and leave it only when you send them somewhere.

What we collect

Nothing. We do not collect, store, sell or share any information about you or about the people whose cards you scan. We, the developer, never receive your data.

What stays on your iPhone

Scanned cards: the photos, the text read from them, and the details you save (name, job title, company, phone numbers, email, website, address, notes, tags and voice memos).
Card reading happens on your iPhone with Apple's on-device text recognition. Photos are never uploaded to be read.
Settings, including your CRM webhook address. A CRM API key is kept in the iPhone's secure Keychain.

Fandeck excludes its data from iCloud and computer backups of your iPhone.

When information leaves your iPhone

Only when you do it:

Contacts. If you add a card to Contacts (by tapping, with "Save all", or with "Automatically add to Contacts"), it is saved to your iPhone's Contacts, which may sync to iCloud, Exchange or Google depending on your iPhone's settings.
Sharing and export. When you share a card or export your cards as CSV or vCard, they go wherever you send them.
Your company's CRM (Fandeck Business). If a CRM webhook is set up and you tap "Push to CRM", that card's details go directly from your iPhone to the web address you or your company entered. We are not involved and never see it; that system's own privacy policy applies.
Where you met (optional, off by default). If you turn on "Tag where you met", your location is used at the moment you scan to find the city and country, through Apple's geocoding service. Only the city and country are saved, on your iPhone.
Links (optional, off by default). LinkedIn search, WhatsApp and FaceTime open those apps or sites with the contact's name or number.

Permissions Fandeck asks for

Camera, to scan cards.
Contacts, only when you add a card to Contacts.
Location, only if you turn on "Tag where you met".
Microphone, only if you turn on voice notes and record one.
Face ID, only if you turn on the app lock.

You can change any of these in your iPhone's Settings, under Fandeck.

Purchases

Fandeck Pro and Fandeck Business are sold and handled entirely by Apple. We never receive your payment details.

Children

Fandeck is not directed at children under 13.

Deleting your data

Deleting a card removes it, its photos and its voice memo from your iPhone. Deleting the app removes everything. Contacts you added to your iPhone's Contacts, and anything you sent to a CRM, stay there and are managed in those apps.

This website

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads its fonts from our own server, so visiting it tells no third party that you did.
